Big Girl Now!

Grami Tami is visiting and turned Sierra into a big girl. She got a new bed, new jammies, and a new doll. She thinks she is pretty cool now that she has a big girl bed. This is her first night - success (for now)!

New Residents

We have two new residents living at our house. They showed up a few days ago. They come and go as they please, but they are always here in the mornings and evenings.

Our House

Most of you out there haven't seen where we live. We thought we would post some pictures of our house. We live on about an acre and a half, 7 miles outside of Bozeman. Our house is surrounded by pastures and mature trees. The Gallatin River is about a 4 minute walk behind our house. Great fishing there.

Our Yard

This is part of our backyard.

This is where we relax. We love to lay in the hammock.

The lilacs that border our parking spaces.

This is a view from our front porch looking at the road.

This is our firepit. This is where we spend a lot of our summer nights making smores'.

Proud of Her New Toy

Sierra really likes to play with balls these days. When we were at the park we saw a little girl playing with a pink soccer ball. Jake found out where they bought it and we had to make a stop on the way home to get one for Sierra. We have to buy soccer balls for Sierra to play with, so the dogs don't ruin it within a day.

Another Day at the Park

We went to Pita Pit for lunch and decided to take it to the park. Sierra is finally figuring out how to have fun at the park. She had a blast. She likes seeing all the dogs, kids and fun toys.

Piano Girl

We fianlly got a piano!!! Sierra loves to play. She has to make sure she plays the highest and the lowest notes before she is through.

Flower Child

Today Sierra and I went on a walk down the street. She had way to much energy this morning, so I thought a walk would wear her out. Her little legs took her about a half mile. On our way back to the house, she had to stop and hang out with the lilacs. She LOVES flowers. I am a little nervous to plant flowers outside of our house - I have a feeling they will all be picked within days.
P.S. Love the shades!

Here are some other pictures of Sierra with her flowers.

9 Months

9 months. Baby is dropping and we are both gearing up for the "Big Day"!!!!

Hail Storm

One really nice sunny day, dark clouds rolled in, and BOOM - pounded us with marble sized hail!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was so fun this year. We went to the park and had a picnic. Sierra doesn't go to the park very often, so she was unsure about what to do. Sierra and Jake went down the slide a few times, but all she wanted do to was roam around the huge field of grass.

Trial and Error

We were finally convinced to try out the blogging world. It seems like the "new" and "cool" way to keep in touch with family and friends. So we'll see how it goes. I am the king of computer illiteracy. They changed the format on our old website and we can't seem to figure it out. Bob Dylan wrote a song about "times a changin'" and i guess he must have had some sort of clue as to what was going on (though i don't think that he had this in mind). Anyway, here we are. - Jake
