Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! This year (as well as last year) we went Trick-or-Treating at the mall. It seems to be the thing to do - with small kids. It was a lot of fun. Sierra really seemed to enjoy it. She even blurted out a "Trick-or-Treat" every now and then. Jake and I got in the action this year and dressed up. Jake was a redneck, Sierra was black cat, I was a flower and Maddie was my little bumble bee.

Redneck Jake with his cute little cat. Meow!

Those two were so cute walking around together. There is nothing cuter than seeing a Papa holding hands with his little girl.

Obsession

I just started to learn how to crochet this week. It's kind of funny, Jake has known how to crochet for a few years, but I have never bothered to learn. It has now become an obsession. I am still working on perfecting the single crochet stitch, but I think I've got it down pretty good. I am working on a blanket for one of Sierra's favorite stuffed animals and Jake is working on a cute scarf for Sierra. Yesterday morning, when Sierra woke up, the first thing she did was grab some yarn and needles and started to "crochet". She wants to do everything we do.

Sisters

Happy 6 Year Anniversary

Happy number six babe. It's been a great six years. Actually its been almost 10 since we started dating. I am truly blessed to have been lucky enough to have you in my life. You are a wonderful wife and great mother and I am lucky to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you babe and happy anniversary.

Love,
Jake

Party Time!

Sierra's Birthday was a success! She really loved opening her presents. It's fun now that she is old enough to know what to do with the presents. She couldn't wait to play with all of her new toys. Of course, she got to stay up late and play. It would be so much fun to be little again.

She really got into it this year!

Sierra's monkey cake that I made. I am very happy with the way it turned out. I almost didn't want to eat it.

Blowing out the candles. There might have been a little spit in there too.

Snow

Our first snowfall of the season has arrived - right on time. It seems like we usually get some snow before Sierra's birthday.

Children's Museum

Today we all went to the Children's Museum. Sierra had so much fun. I had never been there and am glad that I finally went. It is a big open room with about 15 different stations like sand, blocks, magnets, puppets, basketball.... You can just sit down on the couch and let your kids free. I have a feeling we will be going to there a lot this winter.

Nice magnet man.

Finger Paints

This morning, Sierra and I finger painted. I made some homemade finger paints and we went to town. Sierra had tons of fun and made a HUGE mess. I knew it would be messy, but I didn't think it would be that messy! Paint splatters all over the wall, floor, chairs, table...

After we were finished Sierra continued her fun in the tub. She LOVES to take a bath. It was a fun morning and I feel good that Sierra got to spend the morning doing something fun and something a little different than normal.
