Blue Angels

The Blue Angels air show was in town this weekend. I wanted to go so bad, but it was too expensive, too hot, and not a place for two small kids - bummer. So we packed up a lunch and went to the water park - which is near the airport. Jake and Sierra played in the water while Madison and I watched part of the air show. I wish we could have stayed all day to see the whole show, but after a few hours, we all needed naps.

Mama Sierra

Ever since Madison came along, Sierra has been acting like a little mama. A few of her dolls are swaddled in blankets., sometimes she tries giving her dolls binkies and when I bathe Madison, Barbie gets a bath too. Her new "mama" thing has been carrying George around in the sling. She feels so cool when she carries him around. She is such a cute little mama.

Trouble Maker

I left Sierra and Maddie alone for less than 5 minutes. This is what I found when I came back. Sierra had climbed onto the changing table to play with the mobile. I didn't know she could climb like that. I'm just glad that I didn't find her standing on top of Maddie.

Bed Head

Before Sierra goes to bed she walks around her room and gathers things to go to bed with her. Most mornings when we go into her room we find books and clothes in bed with her. Sometimes she pulls the clean clothes out of her drawer, and other times she gets the dirty clothes to bring to bed with her. Today, when she woke up from her nap she had this shirt on her head. Apparently she had tried putting it on. Looks like she got pretty close to getting it on. I think she slept this way. We got a good laugh out of it.

Happy Birthday Jake!!!!!

The big 2 7! I think you were 18 when I firsts met you. CRAZY!!!!!! Two kids and almost 10 years later.... here we are.... Sierra, Madison and I love you very much! You are an awesome dad. Sierra has soooo much fun hanging out with you - she is your #1 fan.

To celebrate Jake's birthday we had pizza, opened presents and ate some "carrot cake". A few friends came out to celebrate with us. You know your getting old when everybody leaves the party by 10. :)

Fun In The Sun

Sierra has been having fun in the sun in her new swim suit (Thanks Grami Tami). It has been so hot lately, so she has been swimming a lot to cool her down. The other day Jake played with her in the pool - It looked pretty funny. Yesterday, the neighbor boy, Corban, came over to swim. She just loves the pool. She never wants to get out.

Just Another Day...

I found a snake in the house today. It must have been a baby because it was very small. I swept it into a bucket and let it go in the field out back. Just another day at the Montana Schall's house.

Two Bucks

This morning, bright and early I was up with Maddie trying to get her to sleep. We have an exercise ball that she likes to be bounced on, so we were just bouncing away. In our bedroom, we have a door that goes outside and we usually have the door open at night with the screen shut. We were bouncing in front of the door looking out. The scenery outside is much better to look at then the wall. So, anyway, we were bouncing then all of the sudden two bucks came walking right by our bedroom door. They were about 20 feet away from me. One of them walked over to the fence and hopped over, but the other one was hesitant to make the leap. He walked up and down the fence for about 5 minutes, then decided that he would try. Of course, he made it over without any problems. Then the two bucks grazed in the field that is on the other side of the fence. It was a really exciting early morning for me.

What A Week.....

What a week..... Sierra, Maddie and Jake all got sick this week. Luckily, they weren't sick all on the same day - they spread it through out the week. It started Monday, with Sierra, and has finally ended today, Friday, with Jake. It was really hard being home alone to take care of two sick kids. One day I broke down and called Jake to come home early. That day I had Sierra throwing up and both of them crying. It was just me to make everything all better. Then on a different day, Sierra had been crying all day, Maddie was crying and I was so close to breaking down and crying along with them. I didn't know what was wrong with them. I had been listening to it all day and couldn't make it better. That is hard on a mom. Just when I thought it was over and everyone was better, Jake came home from work sick. This picture was taken today - everyone is feeling fine. Yea!!!

One Month

I can't believe Maddie is over a month old. The days just pass by while I do my best to just get through them. It is a lot of fun having a little baby around the house again. When she smiles it just makes our day. So cute.

Family Fun

Nikki, Matt and Kylee came up to visit us this weekend. Sierra loved having cousin Kylee here to play with. Kylee loved pretending to be a big sister and took care of Sierra. She even changed Sierra's diaper and put a new one on perfectly. Jake and Matt went fishing and caught a few fish. Saturday night we had a fire in our fire pit and did a bunch of fireworks. I really do like having visitors.

Almost the whole crew. Matt and I are missing.
