October Fun!

Elko 2012

 Every year we go to Elko for a fun family reunion and the horse races!  Here is a slideshow from our trip this year.  This year we went to the Spanish Ranch and got a little tour.  This is the ranch that Jake's Grandma grew up at.  We also had a BBQ cook off, went on some rides at the carnival and of course we spent some time at the races!

Our Pond

We have a nice little pond just down the hill from our house.  Last year we stocked it with about 30 sunfish.  We knew the fish were multiplying because lst fall we could see little minos.  Today we finally went down to the pond to do some real fishing!  Well, I would say our little sunfish are doing very well!  I caught a fish with my first cast, and my second, and my third....  Both of the girls caught fish, and Jake even managed to hook one!  The sunfish are fun fish to catch!  They are so easy and stupid!  The only bad thing, is they have spiny fins, so if you aren't careful you will get poked.  Anyway.  We all had fun!

Vacation With The Slicks!

Yes, this has taken me way too long to post pictures of the girls fun vacation to California!  Jeff and Tami (aka Grandma and Grandpa Slick) came to Montana to pick up the girls and take them away (in their airplane!) to California for a whole week!  The girls had so much fun!!!  The pictures say it all!
