Fun Days

Just a few pictures from the last couple of days.

Proud Papa

Jake had a proud moment last night. Sierra drew her first person and family. We didn't get a picture of her family - which consisted of Mama, Papa, Sierra, Baby and Megan. The top picture is Mama. The bottom picture is Cinderella. I drew the circle for the head, the stick for the body and the dress. Sierra drew the rest. She added legs, a shirt, arms, hands, hair and a face. Of course, every Cinderella needs a baby Cinderella (I drew that one).

Horses

Yesterday we went to a BBQ with everybody that Jake works with. We went out to Randy's house in Three Forks. It was so beautiful. He lives on about 60 acres that borders the Jefferson River. All the kids had so much fun. Sierra went for her first horse ride! She loved the horses. She couldn't keep her eyes off of them. She did pretty good up on the horse. It was a tall horse. She wasn't even scared. In fact, she was the only one to ask Randy for another horse ride. They also have a slough where Sierra and I went for a canoe ride. We even saw the first turtle of the year (I didn't know there were turtles in Montana). Sierra had so much fun running around with the other kids, throwing rocks and sticks into the water, and climbing on hay stacks. Someday we will have land, and who knows, maybe a horse too!

Today

Today was a super nice day. We haven't had too many really nice days, so we pretty much spent the whole day outside. In the morning I set up Sierra's tent and tunnel set and we played in it for a while. Maddie thought it was so cool to go through all the tunnels. She is getting quite the personality. Then, after lunch, we went to the neighbor's house and "swam" in their new pool. It was a good day!

Fun Weekend

This past weekend Nikki, Lena and Kylee came up for a visit and to run the Back From Bridger "Fun Run". The whole run was 17 miles, but they had different distances where you could bail out. I chose to run 3 miles. That was definitely plenty for me. Lena ran 7 and Nikki ran 12.5. It was fun. We were all pretty sore afterwards.

My friend Lisa gave us one of her fish tanks. She is moving and can't take her fish. Sierra absolutely loves the fish. We put the tank in her room. There are 16 different fish in there. I'm not really a fish person, but I love it! I love that it was given to us already set up and fully stocked. It is actually kind of peaceful to lie on Sierra's bed and watch the fish swim and listen to the trickle of the filter.

Let's all go to a ball.

Sierra and Maddie were invited to a ball today. Sierra wore her Cinderella dress and her Cinderella shoes. They made princess tiaras and danced along with Barbie in one of those Barbie movies. Maddie had lots of fun being a fairy. She just crawled all over the place and ate random food off of the floor. It was good to get all the little kids together again for another fun day.

Cards

I made this card lastnight. I thought it turned out really cute so I wanted to show it to everyone. I cut out the flowers and popped them out for a 3D look. I am pretty happy with the end result. I have been doing tons of card making lately - about one a day. I have a pretty good stash of Birthday cards and getting a good stash of Thank You cards. I have a feeling that I will end up with way more cards than I need. I am excited to start sending out the Birthday cards - May is a big Birthday month, so that will be fun. Plus I need to use up some of my stash to make room for others. Below are two more of my favorite cards. I have many favorites, but those two are right up there at the top.
