Daddy Daughter Day

I didn't have work today so I decided to make it a daddy-daughter day with Sierra. This morning we got up and made some scrambled eggs. Sierra really likes to help cook, especially when there is some stirring involved.

After breakfast we got ready to hit the town. I had to meet with the gas company at one of our jobs and lucky for us he was already there and almost done when we showed up!

Afterwards we decided to have some lunch. I decided to break one of our rules and I took her to Burger King (we don't eat fast-food) because they have a really cool play place. Sierra was super excited to try it out. After we ate, we played for about a half hour. I was exhausted and getting hot so I decided it was time to go. Unfortunately Sierra wasn't ready, so we compromised and she went down the slide two more times. Too much fun!

We decided to go to the video store and look at the books, toys and movies. We rented a few movies for the evening and decided to head on down the road to the mall. Sierra loves the mall. She loves walking around like a big girl. We got some ice cream cones, a small one for her and a big one for me. We did a little shopping and decided that we needed naps. It was a good day and a fun time. I'm glad that I took the time to have a special daddy-daughter day with my oldest, but still little girl.

Ooooh. That's so sweet of you Jake. Looks like Sierra was loving having her papa all to herself. She sure loves you.
